And how long will it be, I wonder, for Michael Shanks fans to start claiming that he's going to "raise the game" of the actors on Supernatural?

Unfortunately, once the casting directors hear you give good character death, you're totally typecast.

Though, there is that upcoming maybe solo Hawkman movie. :-)

Poor Shanks. I know he's happy to be working, but *damn* it would be nice if he got some somewhat meatier roles.

Right now, most actors are pretty damn happy to get any job. Unless you're a "name" actor, and you get too many. Spread the wealth, literally.
