Well, I think I officially like Castle over The Mentalist. The Mentalist is quirky, but Castle doesn't rely on a hidden trauma to motivate the main character. Plus, Nathan Fillion is just hysterical in this role, and his timing couldn't be better. Plus, I KNOW that the UST that is there between Castle and the woman police detective is *supposed* to be there. It's mild, but the show is structured that way, so if it goes down that road, it won't bother me so much as it would with The Mentalist.

It's a lot of fun, isn't it? It's one of the few shows, too, that the Guy will sit down when he sees me watching it. We both love shows with good dialogue, and Castle has the feel in its background of a Cary Grant/Catherine Hepburn 1930s comedy.
