MacKenzie Phillips and Incest

gategrrlHmm. Has anyone heard of MacKenzie Phillips' accusations that her father (a member of the Mamas and the Papas) had raped her for years? She called it "consensual" after she was 19 years old, but it probably started much earlier than that. There was also a story where she said that when she was 14 and coming home from a nightclub, she hitched a ride with someone and was raped.
Clearly, this woman has had a very screwed up life, and noone did a thing to protect her from drugs and inappropriate behavior when she was a child. And of course, no one is taking responsibility now: as usually, the woman who is crying "incest!" is being called a liar, a ho, a druggie with no credibility, etc etc etc. and asking "well, why did she wait until her father was dead before accusing him of this?"

Why she waited? Oh, I dunno, because she didn't want to deal with the whole conflict?? Am I the only one that makes sense to??
