My older sister raved about FitFlops while we were over in South Carolina, saying that even her husband noticed her legs were getting better looking after she'd worn them for a couple of weeks. She also said that after the first day of wearing them, her legs ached like heck--even for her, someone who works out a lot (and she does look awesome).
So I found that a couple of stores in the mall carries them (Macy's and Ladies Footlocker), and I found a pair that fit. And I have to agree--you have to watch out the first few days you wear these things. After two or three days, I can feel the muscles in my butt and in the back of my thighs feeling a little sore. Before that, it was my calves. Luckily, my left foot doesn't hurt much anymore, although I'm still taking the 800 mg Ibuprofen pills to make sure the swelling stays down and help prevent more injury pain.
I may have to invest in another pair of these things next month, so I don't keep wearing the same pair day in and day out (which I tend to do with my shoes--I wear them out gently!)

Yeah, I only buy shoes these days that have some sort of support, or cushioning, so that I don't have another foot ouchie again. I've already had that top-of-the foot problem about 17 years ago from inadequate shoes and walking miles on pavement. I never want to repeat that pain again.
