gategrrlWow, what a total prick this reviewer, Troy Patterson on Slate is! he reviews HBO's The Ladies No 1 Detective Agency series (which started out as a BBC production, didn't it?) and hauls in the source material-the books-for some thorough sliming.
I don't expect that Alexander McCall's stories, and story-telling, is everyone's cup of tea. I don't expect that Jane Austen or Stephen King is, either (and I love them both). But seriously...that's a lot of venom spat at the books and their readers. And I haven't seen the series. I can't refute, nor can I agree, with his opinion. But jeez.
