A sobering thought
Mar. 17th, 2009 01:11 amAnd my last post for the day, I swear!
I know this issue has come up on LJ (not with anyone I know in particular, but I have heard of this through other people); people die unexpectedly, or go into comas or medical traumas. It's the worst that can happen. So, how do you inform all the people you've grown to know on the internet, with whom that's the only way you've ever known them? There's not always someone who you know in Real Life who can help your online friends get the information about your passing. So what do you do?
This article goes into this issue, and lists three services that store information OR letters that go out to your online contacts.
Seriously something to think about.

Date: 2009-03-18 05:33 pm (UTC)I admit I haven't given it a thought before but it's a good idea to have a plan in place, I guess my husband would tell my closest friends and they'd spread the news of my untimely demise further.
That said, I am planning on living at least until 60 ;)
