All I can say is, thank heaven's for Apple's Genius program on iTunes. OMG. I turned the silly thing on, and started going through my list of favorite songs. And finally after clicking on a Third Eye Blind's That's How It's Going to Be, the sidebar suggested a list of songs...and the song I was looking for was The Verve Pipe's The Freshman! Yay!

Date: 2009-01-23 04:31 pm (UTC)I downloaded it from iTunes, and she listened to it, but then told me she didn't like it (The Freshman, that is). It's an odd song about a guy's reaction to his girlfriend (or friend's girlfriend, I'm not sure) killing herself because her boyfriend left her.
Not exactly a subject matter I *like*, but it's so typical of how I remember being in my late teens, and all the college kids I knew back then. Some of them were pretty effed up. (mid 80s)

It got really frequent radio play in Utah when it first came out, which leads me to believe that most of the people listening had no idea what they were listening to. I liked that. ;D
