It can't just be me, but are drivers here in the LA area just driving more bonkers than usual today? Seriously--there was a student driver on the freeway as I was driving to the vet to pick up x-rays and dog-drugs who kept edging into my lane. I thought it was a yellow cab at first because it was a yellow car. Then just...other drivers were being *weird*. I can't pin it on any particular driver. I had to be REALLY careful changing lanes all during the drive there and on the way back.

And then, after I got back to deliver the x-rays to the other vet offices, I parked in this spot. Not too many cars. After I dropped off the x-rays I made sure to wait while the old woman next to me in her bright blue small Ford car backed out and left. I waited for just a moment, I swear, made sure she was GONE---and slowly backed out. I did look in the rear view mirror, but all I saw was gray, before I heard an awful BUMP! sound, and quickly went back into my parking spot. It was *another* car, a medium sized sedan. I jumped out of my car, and the woman who was sort of sitting there in the middle of the parking area jumped out, too, but I blathered, "But, but, " looking for a dent, "But" And she took a quick look, said, I'm sorry, and OMG, drove off so fast I couldn't even figure out where she went. There wasn't a dent on her car, and not one on mine (a new one, anyway).

But she was just *sitting* there where my car was backing out!

The rest of the drive home, I kept a really close eye out on other drivers. I swear, it's not me.

On the subject of boarding Goldy: I checked out the vet's accommodations. All concrete--that's fine, I get that the runs have to be concrete for easy sterilization and cleaning. But the run? Also all concrete. I guess I understand that, too. And they let the dogs out three times a day, from what she said. But other than that, they don't have anyone there with the dogs at all.

I guess that's what it's like at the other place I've taken Goldy to for the past few years: but the other place has a lawn, with grass that they take the dogs out on, and space to run around, if that's what the dog wants to do. I don't even know if that kennel is even in business anymore. We'd much rather Goldy was able to stay at home--he's used to being by himself sometimes. But he's such a people dog. And we don't trust a friend of ours to faithfully give Goldy his heart medication that he needs.

I wonder if the grass is mostly my issue. The vet is also about $10 cheaper a day than the boarding kennel.

Bones

I've been watching Bones on the DVR lately because it's there, and I'm tired of the CSI franchise and bored with the L&O franchise.

What were the writers thinking? Seriously. What were they thinking by pairing off Hodges and Angela? It took me about a season's worth of episodes to start not disliking them.

And what's the fascination with everyone talking about everyone else's love/sex life like it's Jr or High School? Is that ALL these people think about, besides getting to the bottom of a case?

The premise and the science fiction 3-D imager aside (that's just so...stupid, and I'm glad they toned down its use)...anyhow, I watch it for the mystery involved.

I'm also not sure why all the characters have to behave as if Booth and Brennan are the center of their lives, as if...really, aside from gossip reasons, does anyone ever really care if a couple is getting it on? It gets tiresome for random people to keep asking them, or assuming, that they ARE a couple. It's OLD. OLD OLD OLD.
