Jun. 4th, 2009 12:34 pmOn the subject of boarding Goldy: I checked out the vet's accommodations. All concrete--that's fine, I get that the runs have to be concrete for easy sterilization and cleaning. But the run? Also all concrete. I guess I understand that, too. And they let the dogs out three times a day, from what she said. But other than that, they don't have anyone there with the dogs at all.
I guess that's what it's like at the other place I've taken Goldy to for the past few years: but the other place has a lawn, with grass that they take the dogs out on, and space to run around, if that's what the dog wants to do. I don't even know if that kennel is even in business anymore. We'd much rather Goldy was able to stay at home--he's used to being by himself sometimes. But he's such a people dog. And we don't trust a friend of ours to faithfully give Goldy his heart medication that he needs.
I wonder if the grass is mostly my issue. The vet is also about $10 cheaper a day than the boarding kennel.
