It does. It's the set-up to get Vala off the base. Although why it couldn't have been a TEAM effort, you know, with the TEAM, which is what so many people keep claiming they WANT to see, well, yeah, it IS pointless. Unless you're a V/D shipper.

Yes, although I'm not drinking champagne, and clicking my heels, and having a party, yes, I can say I'm glad the show appears to be finishing off in its current incarnation, although the news of a set of movies isn't thrilling like it would have, if Vala weren't there.

I see it as exactly Daniel does as two co workers going off base and having dinner; Vala of course would see more since its Daniel takeing her out. For me as any one that has fallen for Daniel since Shar'e has died I never see anything serious. Daniel is just being Daniel; the dinner is his way of thanking her for proving him right into joining SG1.

But then I am into seeing this two as friends and nothing else.
