"I get depressed enough all by myself" -- wow, that should have come out of my mouth!
Here's one: I'm all excited about the possible Devlin Stargate movies (don't know if Emmerich is going to participate in the deal). But OMG, if you don't want the SG-1 actors involved in it, you're a piece of crap fan who doesn't really like the show!
Thank heavens there are other shows starting up and continuing that are interesting me now, after a long, long dry-spell of nothingness. For a long time when SG was on, there was nothing *good* on.
But now there's: *The Dead Zone (ok, used to be good, but I love the relationships on it) *Life on Mars - a heckuva lot of fun police procedural with a real twist (Deej, I think you'd really like this one - you're a Professional's fan, aren't you?) *Medium - it's just good television and not too squicky *Dr Who - how can one NOT love this new show, it's F*U*N spelled "D0CTOR"
and I'm sure there are one or two new good shows that I've forgotten about. It's like the reign of crappy reality shows is over, and Real Television with characters is making a come-back!
I'm eager to see the Devlin etc movies; after all it was the first one that got me involved in Stargate, anyway. I look at them as two seperate entities, the movies and the series. Especially now.
And yes, I've run across that same comment about what a lousy person you are if you don't want the SG1 cast in the movie. how hurt and bewildered and so on they're all going to be.... LOL. It's a business. I doubt any of them will give it a second thought. Nor will they ASSUME they should be in it just because they've been on the TV show.
I like the Dead Zone... when I can find it, which isn't often. Life on Mars? Who what when? Medium... When is it on, I'll have to check it out.
I've been relying on stuff from Netflix for the last three months or so.
