Goldy Update #3
Jul. 21st, 2006 11:35 amThe X-ray was clear, the vet didn't see any chicken bones. He couldn't see any obstruction in Goldy's gut. The bloodwork was clear. Goldy is now going on antibiotics. If those don't work, then he'll try another treatment. He calls it "gastroentitus", a sort of umbrella term. He's not sure at this point what the problem is. I'm supposed to call back around 3:30, midafternoon, to see what's up.
I'm debating now whether I should go with Mermaid and her friend and her father to Santa Monica Pier this afternoon. If I don't go, Little Guy doesn't go (although I told him I'd take him next week all by himself if I needed to stay home because of Goldy)...but the Guy has expressed some misgivings about Friend being able to handle the two girls in the Pier, where there are hundreds of people meandering about. The two girls get crazy when they're together. I do have my cellphone all powered up and ready to go, of course.

Date: 2006-07-22 07:57 pm (UTC)Luckily Goldy ate up his morning serving of chicken meat (NO BONES) and I'll have to go out and get some more. I'll have to ask the vet's office if feeding him rice would help...but his problem is a little different, I think.
(I'm starting to think it was the two pull-ups he ate a couple of days after eating the bone - I think the bones scratched his insides and helped an infection grow - he's eaten pull-ups before and not had this happen)
