Errands derailed by Star Wars and Cuteness

I was going to go the bank and deposit a few checks. Then mail some bills out that need to go out today.

But Little Guy's friend from next door came over, and despite that I was planning to get him out the door to do this basic stuff,...I just heard them start playing Star Wars ("Anakin! Anakin! This is my new ship." etc etc). It's the cutest thing ever, and makes my fangrrl heart go pitty-patter. So, I'm going to pick Mermaid up at the school, then do the errands. Then maybe take them out for some ice cream.

We ended up going to the donut shop instead - I'd told Little Guy we'd go there earlier in the day, but he got sucked into playing on his X-box game instead...he remembered the earlier destination, though.

Unfortunately, there was a little misbehavior in the bank, and then in the donut shop, so we headed home sooner than planned. Time outs were in the future.

That's cute, though. My kids used to play Star Wars together. Somehow Franklin Roosevelt was involved, but I never really got that part. It sounds like you are having fun with your little ones. :-) I did, too.

I just sent my daughter off to college a couple of weeks ago and I miss her so much. :-(

I dread sending my daughter off to college. I hope we teach her enough life skills, and make sure we don't tear our hair out (my hair, that is, hubby's lost most of his). I remember MY college days...and oh, boy. Not that I was a wild woman, but...NO NO NO NON O!!! NOt MY daughter!

Yeah, my daughter has a level head on her shoulder. My biggest concern is that she'll have a hard time making friends. She's already made a few, but not really connected totally with anyone. She's fine, though. It's me! hehe I'm the one who's sad. And my husband...yeah, he's been going crazy. I think it's harder for him to just let her be there. hehe It's harder for me to be here without her.
