Book squee

Yeehaw! My mom and I went to the used bookstore today, and I managed to remember the writer's name of the Stargate movie tie-in novels. There were two of the McCay books on the shelf -- and YAY! In it, McCay has Jack and Sarah O'Neil back together, with their marriage patched up. That's where the *series* should have taken it, too. They were good together.

Stargate: Rebellion
Stargate: Reconnaissance

I think Rebellion comes first. It's publishing date is 1995. Reconn is 1998. There are a couple of other books missing. Oh, and Daniel and Sha'uri's marriage is rocky, there is NO Sam Carter (YAY!), but neither is there Teal'c. And Hathor destroys Abydos. And there are no Goa'uld.

Bill McCay wrote three or four novels based on what Emmerich and Devlin *would* have produced had they kept the rights to Stargate.

I bought Rebellion...it was interesting. I liked that Jack and Sara stayed together, but I love the series and the friendship between Jack and Daniel so I really missed that.

I enjoyed the movie and the book definitely follows that line but I think I still prefer the series ;):P
