What if... Sam Carter on Stargate was wishy-washy on Ex Deus Machina the other night, when she was being asked by an interested male, if she was single, because she's *not* single...she's realized, as someone has said, that she's discovered her Inner Lesbian, and is now having an affair with another woman!

Works for me.

Well, yeah. But, I'm all for retconning it. Heck, femslashers have been pairing her up with Hathor, Janet (most often) and Haley, fcol! So it's not so hard to believe.

She's military, would rather not change her straight-laced POV of the world...but now Daddy's gone, and she doesn't have to conform anymore and possibly hurt him with this revelation. Yeah. And Hammond's not her father-figure-stand-in anylonger, nor Jack, they're both out of the picture. And she can't use Landry as a Daddy figure since he's already taken with his own daughter issues with Lam, heh.

Whenever this idea came into being, I think it might save early Carter for me, when I go back and watch the first few seasons. There she is flirting with these Alpha Guys, when she's got that Alpha female friend right back at base, and she doesn't want to admit it. This is greeeat!

I always thought that Janet and Sam had amazing chemistry on screen. (Of course, Jack/Teal'c and Teal'c/Apophis were my pairings of choice, so what do I know?)

I think the Jack and Sam thing bothered me because I saw Jacob as Jack's contemporary rather than Sam being Jack's contemporary. Gave me a bit of a creepy-daddy feeling.

I loved Sam in the first couple of seasons. She was tough and smart and not afraid to be a beautiful woman. I don't know what TPTB were thinking somewhere toward the end there.

Ah, well, I'll still be watching. Bring on the rest of the season.
