Blah. Blahblahblahblah

And, Blah.

It's usual in Southern California for people to hire "gardeners", most of whom are from Mexico, or other points South of here. How many of them know more beyond the basics of cutting grass or chopping errant branches, I don't know. But we (okay, hubby) fired the last gardeners we had, and since then, the garden in the pathway on one side of our house has been let free to grow willy-nilly. So has the front. So, I've started hacking away at the largest, wildest bushes, at least to get them *back* like the wild dogs they are; but there's this one bush with bright, attractive flowers that is murder to get near. It also has gigantic spiders lurking in its depths, due to the neglect. It also has spikes on its branches that poke through heavy cloth gloves (ouch). I may have to call in a gardener with the right tools to get it cut back. Right tools=electric saw.

SO is off at the movies right now with Mermaid, to see "The Brothers Grimm" with Heath Ledger...that's Heath Ledger? No shit. Anyway, I may or may not go to it myself, but it IS a Terry Gilliam movie; he of "Brazil" and "12 Monkeys" and other oddities. Oh, and "Baron Munchausen" and "Time Bandits". His movies may not always be successful, but they always have *vision*.
