Insomnia

I just finished that book this morning, after I had to stop from fatigue at 4 am this morning. I am so tired. And now, thanks to Stephen King, Maine will forever be a state riddled with unnamed evils, perverted relationships and wife beaters. *sigh*

And now, onto "Christine", which I also borrowed from the library yesterday. I don't think this book has anything whatsoever to do with his Dark Tower series, except perhaps as a retrofit or a subconcious addition into his mental mythos. I find I can deal better with his horror and stories when I realize that to him, they take place on alternate Earths. Really. Then I don't get so creeped out by some of the books.

Christine was the first King book I read. It was also when I learned how to skip to the end and read a book backwards in small sections. It is incredibly scary. Enjoy.

Ah yes, King and his love of making Maine the place of nightmares. My favourite King book is The Stand, although he's written a short story which I think is called The Race that has stuck with me ever since I read it about 18 years ago.

Holy crap, please tell me that you have 'enhanced' your dogs eyes. Otherwise I will have to conclude that the axis of evil can be found right here, lurking in your journal. Or is that just him powering up for a release of gas On the other hand, he is a purty doggy. But jesus, those eyes!
Ahem, will unhijack your journal now.

Nope, those are NOT enhanced by any digital means. All I did was shoot him with a flash, and then crop the photo.

And he is a purty doggy...even when he looks like the apothesios of evil! :-D
