The best thing about not having regular TV & cable?

The best thing about not having cable TV in the house anymore? Although the kids can still watch some of their favorite programs (Phineas & Ferb, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Spongebob, etc etc etc) there aren't any commercials involved. And that goes for the shows that the Guy and I watch. It's almost a subtle thing. You get so used to NOT having your brain assaulted by horrible messages to buybuybuy this toy or that frozen food or this newest automobile, it's great!

I'm pretty sure I had the exact same thoughts. There'd be boycotts and bans and "tsk, tsk, what a terrible mother."

Because women are the nurturers who are also not allowed to be funny.
