gategrrlDid I mention that I'd taken Mermaid to the doctor Tuesday afternoon, and the doctor diagnosed the flu? Anyway, there's no more temp that I can find. Believe, I've been taking her temp a LOT today. But she's still feeling like poo, as Mermaid puts it, and although she would LIKE to go back to school, she just isn't up to it yet. I took her to Target today, because I had to get some more medicines (for Goldy the dog, and Clariten D for her) & other stuff. I parked her next to the Starbux, ordered her favorite drink from there (mocha frappachinno) and went for the stuff. I ended up dozing off in bed for about a half hour after we got back. I felt better, and my own headache was almost gone.
Of course, Tall Boy complained of having a headache, too, and feeling grotty all day. He had a mild mild temp of 98.6 at one point. I'll probably send him in tomorrow anyway. If they don't want him, they can call me up. It's hard to tell with him when he's feeling middling bad. He's so stoic.
Can it be spring yet, please? With no more flues? Seriously even though last year, we all came down with H1N1, and I had a 102 temp, and the Guy had cookie-woofing episodes, and both kids had it a week or two before that, it wasn't nearly as sucky as this year, with the constant colds and flues. I'd ALMOST trade it for snow. ALMOST. No. I take that back. Y'all can keep your snow. But I would like no more flues.
