[livejournal.com profile] amymccabe , just to let you know, I'm still using that recipe you posted oh-so-long-ago on OS for bacon covered turkey! It's so awesome! But this year I'll remember to add the onions and garlic underneath the bacon.   :-D

Happy Turkey Day to all my American flisters, and to all my non-American flisters, I am so thankful you are my friends!

Mazel Tov, everyone!

(and yes, I know the icon refers to Xmas, but I don't have a Thanksgiving icon...I'll have to fix that)

How'd the turkey turn out? I've heard the bacon covered turkey is really good!

The turkey is still in the oven. It has another hour or so before it's done, but I'm telling you, Tiv, the smell is HEAVENLY. I loaded on the diced garlic and onions and layered the bacon on top. I thought Mermaid had put enough on top (a package's worth) but I'm wondering if we should have opened up the second package of bacon I bought, too.

In any case, the gravy is going to turn out awesome!

It sounds wonderful!

I sort of compromised this morning -- I cooked some bacon for breakfast. ;) Does that count? *g*
