I had a chef friend of mine clue me in that cilantro is from the same plant as cumin... go figure! It came up because I was surprised re: finding cilantro in Moroccan food because I think of cilantro as part of Mexican food.
Yeah, I'd heard that those two spices were related!
Best, simplest recipe ever that uses cilantro:
White fish (tiliapa is good), one tblspn butter, fresh cilantro, and lime juice and/or lime zest.
Cook the fish until it's done. In a small bowl, combine 1 tbls of lime juice, 1 tbls of melted butter, and the lime zest (0ptional) and then top the fish with this mixture.
It's heavenly. OMG, it's truly wonderful, and so simple.
