Huh. Well, WES (wonky electronic scale) actually went down this morning, and in a *small way*, not in a big jump which would indicate that it was completely wrong. It seems I have lost perhaps 1.5 lbs or so? Not going with the YMCA doctor's scale, though. WES did indicate a few weeks ago that  I was up in the uncomfortable (for me) range of 172 or so, so this food diary stuff is working.

This Monday is the day I'm going to drag my sorry butt to the morning yoga class wearing my ugliest comfy gym shorts and try doing some stretches and if I can, maybe 20 minutes on the elliptical. I want to see some faster results because when I go visit my folks over this summer (oh god) I want to at least be taking up less room on those insanely narrow airplane seats.

March 18: 171
April 19:    168.8
April 21:    167.8
April 26:    167.4

They're just numbers on WES, but at least it seems to mean that cutting back on the amount I eat is making *some* affect.

It's just wow, so easy to underestimate how much fat and calories are in some foods.

Yeah, that's what I'm figuring. Even when I was taking a YMCA nutrition/weight loss class, the electronic scale they used in the class, and the doctor's scale in the locker room had a difference of about 2 pounds between them. Ie, if I weighed in at 168 on their electronic scale, I'd weigh in at 170 on the doctor's scale.
