Brief update on that stupid obsessive song-search of mine--I still haven't figured what the title of the song is or who sings the ballad, BUT I think I've narrowed down the radio station I heard it on. I had to go to the car, turn it on, and write down a list of all the radio stations on the digital read-out. One of them only plays music from the 80s and 90s. Another plays music from the 60s, 70s and some 80s. Nope. Another one plays out-there Alternative music, and the fourth plays middle of the road pop stuff.  I think I heard it on 98.7 KYSR so I've been wasting time going through their very very very long play list. OMG. They don't have a feature on their website where you can narrow it down to a day and time, unlike a couple of other music station sites. Geez.

Yeah. Next time I hear it, I'm going to note the time, day and station, dammit. I hate when I get an earworm and I can't find the song.
