I can no longer go into one of my favorite forums now because it's awash with people begging for clicks on their dragon eggs. 

It's totally operant conditioning, and makes begging a typical thing, crowds the threads and ARGH! Why?

At least it's a fad, and will hopefully go away in a few weeks. I *hope*.

I've noticed that I'm not the only one to be getting fed up with all the dragon-begging going on. I mean, how frikking interesting could those things BE? And what is the need to start a gazillion threads about it? So I was very happy to see several people not enamored of the dragons start a new thread asking that dragon love be scaled back.

Erm...no pun intended.
