Bye Bye to Star Trek: The Experience in Las Vegas

After ten years, the exhibit/museum is closing up after the end of the summer, after Labor Day. BUT that finally got the fire burning under the Guy, and hopefully, we'll be going to see it at next weekend! I hope so! I've been wanting to go for years!

It's weird - my association had annual meeting right before it opened, so I knew about it but didn't see it until about 8 years later when we had another annual meeting there (it's right next to the smaller convention center, so it's always our HQ hotel - the show is fine - and even if you have to wait in line, it winds through exhibits with placards.

It's really no better than any other Star Trek exhibit - but if you can see it there, enjoy it.

Sadly, it turned out it our budget wouldn't allow it. It's more worthwhile to spend the money on the kids' day camp at the end of the summer, so I don't kill them before school starts up, and I can work on my Stenomachine class without children underfoot.

Darn it.

Sorry it came down to limited resources - but getting the kids safely to camp sounds pretty important.

Good luck with your classes - it sounds like you're really motivated and that's got to help.
