Dirt, you is ded

Target was selling some Dyson vacuums at a large discount (about 35-40%, I think), so I bought one. Our Kenmore Sears one is weak, does an adequate job, but doesn't do it anymore for us, what with the deep beige shag rug that came with the house. It's still in the box, though, ready to suck air and dirt up. I'm almost afraid to see what comes out of the rug. Will I find numerous amounts of change buried in the fibers? Or a whole'nother dog? Or enough dirt to mold a sculpture if I add water to it?
We'll see.
Edited to add:
Well, I put the vacuum together and boy, did it suck up the hair and dirt! It even made one dirt spot (a large one the size of an 7x7 piece of paper) lighter in color. I'll still have to have the rug cleaned before my mom shows up next Wednesday, but wow. It filled the tank up. Enough to make a small dog!
We'll see.

Date: 2008-06-13 02:12 am (UTC)I bought a new bagless model about a year ago and it works... for a while. It keeps clogging up at the intake into the tank and overheating unless I stop every few minutes and clear out the blockage.
