The Guy proudly showed me the copy of Star Fake: The Snark of Titter after he got home. There've been hints that he was planning on buying it, but when the first dialogue I hear, after the theme music played after the credits, was Black's voice, as Vala, shouting, "We've got to pull back!" I simply cannot do it. Just can't force myself to sit through Vala acting like she's a part of SG-1, and Shanks and Black believing that their acting is better when they're together. Just...ick.  I suppose I'll be amused by this revulsion to this newish version of Star Fake as the years go on, and I decide to pull out my DVDs of seasons 1-6, but for now?   Barf.

That's Sam, actually, showing 'We've got to pull back'.

Really? Could've sworn it was Black, shouting in her accent.

I'm pretty sure it's Sam because she and Mitchell are the ones who get fired upon first. Then she tells Cam they need to fall back. Mitchell radios in to Teal'c or Daniel, I forget which, to tell them they have incoming. I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive it's Sam shouting that.

{{{hugs}}} I think I can imagine how you feel. I haven't even been tempted by this until yesterday when Amazon recommended it to me, and I started thinking, "Maybe it wouldn't be that bad..." and feeling a bit nostalgic.

Then I remembered season 10, and I knew that I couldn't sit through this.

The Direction of the movie didn't impress the Guy one bit, either - he said it was mediocre, ordinary, and not much different from the show itself. I couldn't remember at the time if Cooper had directed it, but it didn't matter much anyhow - the direction on this show has been pedestrian for years now. At least Tapping tried to do new shots and angles and such on the show she got to direct way back when.

I stayed in the computer room and played online while he frog-marched through it. He said it wasn't *bad*, but it wasn't particularly great, either.

Yeah, no way I could sit through it at this point.

If I'm going to watch Black, I'm going to watch her and Browder on Farscape, before they landed on my formerly favorite show.
