Heroes? Wha?

I don't have a Heroes icon, oddly. Going by previous posts, I wrote a LOT about that show and yet... I don't think about it at all now, except when I glance at the season one DVD box set sitting unopened on our DVD shelf.

Is anyone else looking forward to it? Heard any rumors or spoilers (other than the one that was spilled at a convention about six weeks ago?)? Do you think you'll bother watching it when it comes back on?

I don't think about it much either, but I never did. I watched it partly out of curiosity, and also because my son liked it. For whatever reason, while I've liked parts of it and not liked parts of it, the show itself has never resonated with me the way some other shows do. I never really found a character I loved. I actually sort of dislike many of the characters.

So...I don't know. There aren't any other shows on right now that I love, so I probably will watch it, though my son will be away at college by then, so I'm not sure. I didn't see whatever was spoiled six weeks ago, so I don't even know that much.

I'll probably watch it, if only to find out what little they do with Hiro. The writers dropped the ball with him and so many of the other characters, and their inability to write women well is glaring. It's not exactly unusual in Hollywood, but in this show it's especially bad for some reason. Perhaps because they never are able to reach their potential.

Yeah, they made a huge misstep with those twins. I love Hiro, but I liked it when he and Ando were traveling around together.

But yeah, I'll probably watch. I've seen this much, and there's nothing that's made me not want to watch so far.

I'll watch, mostly because I have some hope the writers listened to the viewer feedback and mulled it over during the writer's strike.

There's a short bit over at Sci Fi Wire with James Kyson Lee (Ando). He says new episodes may go into production in June for airing this fall, and he specifically mentions people being excited over seeing Hiro and Ando back together and potential "adventures and mayhem" for them.

A friend of mine just recently started watching season one via Netflix and is enjoying it, and talking to her reminds me of what I did enjoy the most. But I don't necessarily have the urge to rewatch, but that's mainly because I rarely rewatch anything, unless I happen to stumble upon it, such as when G4 aired the first season in a marathon.

I don't guess I've heard the spoiler from the convention, but I don't really consider myself "in" fandom really. I talk about it in personal LJs and read fanfic, but that's it.
