I missed the newest Atlantis (mostly because we didn't realize it was on) and there's a twist? Did I hear "Weir" mentioned? Does this mean that Carter is on her milqtoast way out and Weir is coming back?

[livejournal.com profile] wraithfodder has a review here. If you scroll down, you'll see the spoiler about Weir's appearance. ;) I won't put the spoilers here just in case [livejournal.com profile] gategrrl doesn't want to be spoiled. ;)

LOL!

Well if you checked out the link you already know she's repli!Weir. Though, I have to wonder, is this her fourth appearance in S4? Or will she have a bigger role in a future episode cause this wasn't much of one.

Carter actually stood up for Rodney in this episode and sadly that seems to have a lot of fen waving pompoms and saying OMG!! Carter ROCKS as the head of Atlantis. *eyeroll* She does ONE thing right (something she should have been doing LONG before now) and suddenly she's everyone's favorite? *snort*

So yeah, no chances of Weir coming and taking Atlantis back, unfortunately. Looks like we're pretty much stuck with dominatrix barbie for the rest of SGA's life. *sigh*

I'd see that scene (with Carter defending Rodney) as "about fucking time for the bitch to acknowledge how important he is to Atlantis". What would make it better would be if she acknowledged Rodney's kept his scientific edge, whereas she's burnt out on it.

I hope Carter fans realize that as far as Science and Bailing Out The Good Guys isn't going to be a One Woman Show anymore.

Carter isn't bothering me like she did on SG-1, but she's still a PITA. I'd much rather have Weir around to make fun of (nicely, in ia "the one you love to hate" way); and I think Tori's a much more interesting actor, when they allow her to be.

When the TV is cleared of rugrats playing on the Xbox360 and Wii, I'll check and see if the new episode is still on the DVR. I hope I didn't erase it by mistake. There were a huge number of old Atlantis episodes on (marathon?) that I zorched.

HEARHEAR!!

::nods:: I agree. Weir wasn't a favorite character and I didn't particular LIKE her but I liked her ya know? Enough that when she was useful to the plot, she was good and the rest of the time she was easy to ignore. :P But Carter. *groans* That's a whole other ball of wax.

Aww hopefully you didn't delete. :D If for no other reason than when John and Rodney were on screen together it was adorkable as always. ;)

Weir wasn't my favorite, but she wasn't being shoved into the show where she shouldn't have been. I think one of the major problems with her is they just didn't know what to do with her.

With Carter... bleh. Between her addition, the other cast changes and M&M in charge, I gave up. Not even Hewlett was worth that sort of torture. I can always watch the DVDs later and zip through to the good bits based on fan comments.
