I am THIS close to ---
I am THIS close to clicking on the "buy" button at Amazon for the Asus Eee 4G Surf 7" Micro Laptop PC (Intel Celeron Processor (800MHz), 512 MB RAM, 4 GB Hard Drive, Linux Preloaded) - Galaxy Black computer. The Guy is trying to convince me that I'd be much happier with a larger laptop, like a Dell Inspiron 12" screen one (can even get it in whatever color I want it in). But I've done the measurements - it fits into my superduper REI bag. The keyboard is about 9 inches wide - my folding PDA Palm One keyboard for my PDA is 10" long, with about a .25" wasted for the sides. So the keyboard is an inch smaller. But, smaller means faster, to me. Means my short fingers don't have so far to go to type.
Hmm.
Best Buy has a similiar model for $50 more, with a 900mhz Celeron processer: the one on Amazon has an 800 mhz processer. The Best Buy version also has a camera. I don't need a camera. What the heck would I need a camera for?

Yeah. I'm going to see if I can meet one of these little things in person. But really, I've been eyeing it ever since news of it hit the internet. I like my PDA and it's folding Palm One keyboard, but... I can't run some of the programs I'd like on it. And a larger screen would help big time.
