I confess. It was dark in my sick son's bedroom, so I couldn't read a regular book. I hauled my PDA out of its cradle, and dug out some fics that have been on my PDA since 2005 and before - and picked out Animalia by Leah to read. That may have been a bad move, because several times, I almost woke Little Guy out of a semi-sound nap because I was laughing so hard. Yup, this is the story (I think) that started the Atlantis fandom fascination with penquin sex and tarsiers digging into Jack's Pegasus One hair (and pooping on his pillow). From there I read on to A Beautiful Lifetime Event, which wasn't quite as sparkly as I remembered, but still good for Rodney angst. It's been a while since I've read these. For me, it's the humorous fics that seem to last the longest for me. Humor - that's hard to do, and do well.
Maybe I'll go buy some eBooks to download. That'll be fun!
