Has anyone seen The Mist? The new movie that's out?  Here's a quote from a review:

The only thing Darabont [the director] changes from King's 1980 extended short story is the ending, tamping down the source material's ambiguity in favor of a somewhat contrived "Twilight Zone" twist.

and another review says:

Everyone is talking about the ending of The Mist, which is a major departure from King's own "fading into the fog" dot-dot-dot period at the end of his short story. I don't mind an ambiguous conclusion at all (in fact I usually prefer them), but I have got to hand it to Darabont for coming up with one of the most definitive, unforgettable climaxes in horror movie history. It's worth the price of admission, alone.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what the twist is? I can assure you: I am NOT going to see this movie because I don't like being freaked out when I go to the movies (I don't do horror movies, even though I write the stuff).

Wow, I've seen... a lot of things that end that way. The first time it was interesting, a French play I saw, but... it's now old.
