Jorja Fox, who plays Sarah Sidle on CSI, is leaving the show. She's 39 and wants to pursue other opportunities. See the yahoo article!

Yes, I am v. pleased. I wish the actress well, and still despise what they've done to the character.

From the little I know of her, I have a feeling she really wasn't very happy either, with what they did with her character. It sounds like she's making a tactful retreat.

Im glad. She's 39, really? I had no idea!

I stopped watching when they started romancing her and Grissom. Maybe I'll start watching again. OH, no I won't, it's on the same time as SPN.

I stopped watching last season during syndication, I think. When I have caught the show, the end scene for each episode was Sarah and Grissom. I'm not a shipper (you know that, right?) but I was relieved to realize those scenes really didn't bother me. I guess that's what happens when you lose investment in a show. And when there are other aspects of it that are even more ridiculous (using tech that doesn't exist to solve crimes and find bodies you'd never find otherwise)a passing ship in the night barely makes a ripple.

However, I also see the unlikelihood of that pairing. You could tell the actors were doing as best a job as they could, even if they thought it was a silly storyline.

I'm not surprised, especially considering all the brewhaha over her contract at the end of last season. I didn't watch tonight's episode; will have to catch it in reruns. I was too happy weaving beads and making bracelets to stop my life and watch the boob tube.

Ohhh, you do bead weaving? I looked into that as a hobby at one point because the results I'd seen were so gorgeous. Have you posted any of your work up on LJ or elsewhere?

Beadweaving

I picked up weaving about a year ago after having been doing stringing for a few years. It felt like a natural progression to something more challenging. I've done some really nice stuff, but most of it isn't uploaded. The few photos I could find are simple, beginner-level bracelet projects. They're posted within messages on the Delphi forum I frequent with other beaders. Since these were posted I've graduated to broad, flat pieces of bead-woven fabric; only, none of them are actually *done*. I still have finishing touches to put on them, such as the fringe and strap on a beaded bag; the beaded channel for a dowel on a wall hanging.

Wow, those are *gorgeous*, JennyWren. And I love the antique feel of the ones in the second link. They're lovely! (and the dark brown one is Mmmmmmm)
