The Eyes have it again
Remember that hair in my eye back about six days ago? I went to the eye doc for an eye exam and new glasses, and she looked hither and yon at my eyeball, and she couldn't find the hair. She figured it had already wriggled its slimey little way out of my eyeball through means I hadn't noticed, and signed me off on a new prescription.
In any case, I now have a new pair of glasses on their way - the type with the magnetic clip-on shades. I'd better not lose those, because the girl helping me choose frames told me how much they are to replace. Like, about half the price of the actual full price of the frames with the lenses in them!
It'll be nice having new glasses. I don't think I've had a new prescription since...before my trip/living in Korea...I think. There may have been another one in there, yeah, about six years ago, I think. So, early 2000's. I still have the prescription sunglasses my old (now sadly deceased) optometrist made for me back in the early 90's, after I came back from Korea, and before I went to Nepal. They're that style with the big-butt round frames that people laugh at now, the style that used to cover half your face; the type that Annie Potts wore in Ghostbusters. Only not quite *that* big.
I laugh at pictures of myself in Korea now, because I had those huge frames back in 1993-94.

I hope you like yours. I'm always afraid of losing the clip-ons, so I'm pretty careful with them, but they do get scratched easily, which kind of sucks. I slip them into my pants pocket when I go into stores--sometimes in the little case, sometimes not.
Happy new glasses. :-)
