Finally paid off my $30 fine at the library today, so I could order the two most recent Dresden File books on the loan system. Of course, I ended up walking out with Stephen King's "Lisey's Story" and a book written by Bob Newhart (autobiography, I think).
I also have to 2 Neil Gaiman books to read - Fragile Things, and Coraline, and Deathbird Stories by Harlan Ellison. Ellison has proved himself to be something of an ass recently, but since his earlier stories were so groundbreaking in the SF world, and the last time I read any of them was in high school, I thought I'd revisit some of his best ones.
I'm finding I have to be particular about ordering books from the SFBC - I go to amazon.com to read the reviews and see if it's available cheaper there - often enough, the books are, but then again, some of the books I want are good enough deals at the SFBC. Like the double editions of the Harry Dresden books. In theory, though I like the double editions, I'm finding the typeset hard to read. But it's not that much of a deterrent.
