You Supernatural fen....there are SO MANY of you on my flist, I'm starting to feel left out...like in the near future I might actually have to acquire the DVDs to know what the heck you're all talking about, so I dont' have to hear it all second-hand!

Darned SPN fans.

I'd almost rather wait until the show is off the air, though: you know, Stargate syndrome. I don't want any show I watch go into the dumps because of ... various reasons, usually starting with initials PTB.

eh eh eh, I'm not there *yet*.

I've got so many shows on my plate already - Raines, Psych (very cute light show), Dresden Files, BSG, Boston Legal, Medium...

The reason I hadn't glommed onto this show is mostly because it had such a teeny-bopper OC feel to it (at least with the few tastes I had of it).

We'll see!
(I can see my Guy teasing me while watching it, just like he does when I watch CSI: Mi-aaaaami; but that show is so campy to start out with, it's impossible to laugh at it!)

Ah. I'm there because I don't have that many shows that I watch regularly. I'm dreadfully behind with BSG and I confess I don't know the other shows you've mentioned except for Dresden Files, which didn't catch me the first time I tried to watch.

What happened to the Medium squeeing that used to be on the flist?

::scratches head::

The reason I got into *that* show was all the talk about Joe, Allison's husband! He's off the radar now?

I don't enjoy Medium as much this year. It just...there's something off about it to me, though Joe still wears those boxers very well. :)

It's a good show. I put off watching it for so long because people squeeing turns me off. (I;m sort of doing that now with Heroes.) But when I decided I was ready to watch the show on my terms, I was pleasantly surprised. Well acted and well directed. Well editted. It has a strong heavy atmospheric feel, kind of like X-Files. Heavy on the angst and emotion. And it's family oriented, meaning, the main relatiosnships concern family.

Oh, I'm not there yet...I did enjoy the last episode Road Kill, though. The story wasn't as dire as another I'd seen...um...the one with the creepy psycho child in the painting. That one. That was pretty darned dire. Good concept, awkard chippy and romancing.

The one in the sanitarium just freaked me out way back when.

There are a few things I like about this show.

For one Kripke seems to understand the fact that the fans do make notes and remember from one episode to the next (except for the odd overnight healing that happened in some first season episodes). It seems as though there is a canon bible to this show and they are following it.

Although there are some instances of attraction and sometimes a bit of romance, it's usually more of a nod to recognize that the boys are human and doesn't last very long and yet it's not the Cartwright syndrome.

The women guest star are not portrayed as incompetent or always in need of rescue. In fact they have had some really good guest characters: Hailey, Sarah, lady cop in the Benders, Linda Blair, Tricia Helfer, etc.

The story is about the Winchesters and it's staying about the Winchesters, it's a buddy show that's staying a buddy show with an arc.

Whumping Dean, Sam and John is pretty much a requisite of each episode which warms my little hurt comfort heart.

The fanfiction is incredible and prolific, on par with the fanfiction for Stargate during the first 4 years of the show.

Oh and cute guys! ;-)

For all of that I can forgive the odd plothole and imperfect script. After all I watched all 10 seasons of Stargate ;-)
