This is a blog by a producer of a hit series who actually knows how to relate to the fans - because he's giving and complementary  to his fellow workers, knows what the fans want to know, has "inside" production photos from on set and behind the scenes that he takes himself, and is a total fan of his own show. 

I highly reccommend his blog for reading. 

Here's an excerpt in it, where he writes about one of the actress's performances (the actress plays Claire's mother on Heroes, and this is from the most recent show):

Also, Ashley Crow is excellent. I just yesterday called her up, after last Monday’s episode and this one to tell her how amazing she’s doing. She has been amazing since the pilot, but this episode really allows her to stretch into new arenas. Her scene with HRG where she says “I’m good at playing dumb” is one of my favorite moments.


Oh, and the series he produces/directs for? Heroes!

Sigh. Why can't I get hooked on shows with people like that??????

There's apparently an interview with Damien Kindler over on GW and the exerpts that were posted on OS made me want to spit. All about how he watched the first three years off and on and how stiff and boring it was. Then RCC gave him 20 eps to watch and DK was just blown away at how much improved it was and how great the humour was, and RDA was funny, and AT was amazing, and who is this Michael Shanks Guy?

I wasn't sure whether that was a compliment or an insult....

See, a producer saying stuff like that in an interview just paints him as being an asswipe.

If you want to go far in the industry, you don't say ANYTHING rude about your production until it's long over and the people involved have moved on.

Don't see Glassner or Wright really wanting to help him out after a bumble like that - if that's what he really meant. Foot in mouth syndrome, anyone?
