Season 8 on sale at Amazon for $20.00 (slim case)

WWW.Amazon.com is selling Stargate season 8 (I think) slimline case, for $20.00.  Just thought some of y'all on my flist would be interested. (god knows I'm not)  It might be season season 9, too. 

The big fat cases are really cheap now, too. But don't throw 'em out yet!

Personally, I'm thinking of putting the fat cases in storage, buying some slim cases that can hold 2 DVDs, and make some covers and make some room in the shelves for more DVDs. And, of course, the covers will *not* feature Sam, and will have accurate descriptions on the backs.

Really? If it's season 9, I might be interested. I've been debating whether to get it or not. I actually liked season 9, but sometimes I think I might just dump my entire set of DVDs on Ebay or maybe just toss'em if I can't sell them. *g* If I decide I want to keep them, I'd love to get all slimcases, but I'm still so pissed about the whole thing... I don't mind that I spent so much money on the fat cases so much as I feel like it was a big waste now, because I can't have a complete set that matches unless I get rid of them and getting rid of them will be a big loss one way or another...

And the whole thing still pisses me off. lol *g* The only time I've been more pissed about something like this is when Kodak lost a lawsuit I knew nothing about a month after I'd spent my entire savings of $40 to buy an instant camera to take pictures of my new baby (lyraeinne) to send home to family who wouldn't get to meet her until she was 8 months old. My camera was worthless. :-(

I like your idea for making your own cases, but I'm too lazy to make case inserts for the DVDs I've recorded at home, so I have a gazillion home-recorded DVDs and all are unlabeled except for the Post-It notes I have stuck to the cases. *g*

Also, for me, part of having the DVDs is having them in their own special boxes and packaging. One of my friends just bought two big CD holders (like you'd carry with you in your car for CDs) and then threw away the cases! *g* I could never do that. To me the case and the box is almost as important as the DVD itself.
