This is driving me nuts.

I had the radio on in the car a couple of days ago, and some sappy love-songishy type song comes on - you know, the tenor male singer with drippy stupid lyrics - but what caught me on this song were the first few notes, the first bar. It was repeated through out the song. But the kicker was, I REMEMBER this short bit of music from some show I used to watch years ago. It's from a show that's on the "tip of my brain" so to speak. I *think* it's from a SF show, but I'm not entirely sure.

I've no idea what the name of the song was that I heard, either, so I can't point it out to folks who might help and pinpoint for me where that bar of music was stolen from.
Here's the link to Ursula Le Guin's site, which has an English synopsis of Miyazaki's version of the last two books "The Farthest Shore" and "Tehanu" -- anyway -
http://www.ursulakleguin.com/GedoSenkiSynopsis.html

It's interesting to see how Miyazaki adapts Le Guin's story (as he did Wynne Davies' "Howl's Moving Castle") to the screen. I don't know how fans of the books feel about the new movie versions (I never got into the books when I was a kid).

**edited to correct the book title the movie is derived from)
Okay! I remembered where I'd heard that music from before!

The television version of The Incredible Hulk! YES! Man, the image of a man, on a journey, isolated, moving on from one place to another kept coming back to me - and YES!

I love when my mind actually works...
