I think I'm crazy... (NaNoWriMo post)
Sep. 27th, 2006 01:03 pmNo, I don't think I'm crazy for participating a third time in NaNoWriMo (I've got this tidy little horror story idea that I'm working on).
No, I just sent an email to the Municipal Liaiason coordinator for NaNoWriMo. For my area. There doesn't seem to be anyone local for my area. And I stopped in at my local library to see if they might be interested in sponsoring for it this year - either donating Write-In space for a few hours on a weekend, or at night. I may swing by the local Barnes and Noble as well, for a once a week evening Write-In, also. I've never been able to go to one of these things, because usually, they've been on nights I couldn't make it, or in locations that wouldn't really make sense for me to get to, time-wise.
Yep, last year bought the t-shirt. (really. I did) This year, I'll see if I can do more.

Date: 2006-09-30 06:28 pm (UTC)If I do get selected (I don't know how selective they are!) there should be two or three other folks in the general area, which is huge. If I were a ML, I'd probably designate certain places and times as Perpetual Write-In locations, for evening and daytime hours. And encourage more people to go ahead and plan (which, to the ML's credit, she did encourage people to do).
