Huh, First Few minutes of the new SG-1 Episode

Can someone please tell me WTF Vala is doing walking into the Gateroom when Teal'c comes through the Stargate? Please? What reason in hell is she doing there? As someone else on my flist wrote, why are they making her up to look like a ten-year old? Whose idea was THAT? Are they trying to desexualize her? Or perhaps rub that kink that some viewers have of making one character all subby and childlike so that the other character can play Daddy to him/her?

Vala is THE most sexually charged character ever in Stargate, with the possible exception of Hathor (some comparison THAT is!). And they're doing this to her? Huh?

But most of all, wtf is she even DOING in the Gateroom?

Oh, right. So that Teal'c can look her in the eye and let her know her spawn of the devil is the one conquering planets left and right. :::rolls eyes:::

*That* business was one of the few things I hated about Morpheus. Pricks can't write an intelligent woman staying that way. But... there were redeeming qualities in the ep. I loved the psych eval. That was very Vala and that bit at the end about getting the loot. Wait till Daniel tells her she can get a paycheck... sooner or later, that is. ;) I loved Daniel's return to his language skills in the briefing, *loved* Cam pulling him into the gateroom, loved Sam calling Mitchell "Cam" and I loved the "And you say I'm hard to understand," line from Sam to Mitchell. That was very funny, but I was smiling like a loon at Daniel's exuberance. Been a while. ;)


A word about LJ cuts for spoilers. I don't think you need to apologize for someone else's inability to censor what they read. It's your LJ. If people don't want to be spoiled, they should stop reading other people's LJs. We want to talk about the episode, dammit, without getting smacked for editing. :)

Grumble. I'm going to have to see this weirdness for myself, aren't I? It's perfect fodder for Hathor. I have to wonder about the daddy/girly kink you mention, though. That would be my first thought at seeing a highly sexual woman looking like a little girl. Ugh.
