OMG. I'm rereading the rules and the length of the list and how many people signed up (hey- ladyjax ! We're both doing WW2 prisoner movies!), and I start thinking, this is going to be so CRACK! The Guy went out and bought a copy of Stalag 17 for me last week, and I finally had a chance to sit down and watch it. Holy crap. It's an Wilder movie. I mean, I *knew* that, but I'd "forgotten" how good it was. It was also the first time I'd watched the movie from the very beginning to the very end.

I'm thinking up the different situations and who could play what role, and I want it to be *GOOD* and I'm so afraid I'm going to fall flat on my face.

Thank god I have my "writing music" downloaded into my PDA so I have everything I need in one place while I tear my hair out.

Yeah -- I've already just come up with a brill idea (I think)...and, of course, it will mean a character death - if you've seen Stalag 17 you know that one of the prisoners is a secret spy telling the Germans/prison gaurds what is going on, who's trying an escape...

Yup, there are at *least* three character deaths in the story. Two of them are the rally cry for the other prisoners (XXX and Dunbar) and the other, the spy.

Hee! I don't know if I've ever seen the movie. I used to have a thing for WWII movies, so it's possible, but I'm terrible with movie titles and such unless I've seen a movie 100 times or something. *g*
