They're not very sophisticated yet - I still don't have a handle on how layering works, exactly, and how to get some of the effects I see (like on the one in the icon you used here), but yeah, they're fun!

What program are you using?

I mess with the colors and use different brushes. Some icons come out good and others I'd rather not discuss ;)

But it's fun once you get going.

the Dell computer I got came loaded with a demo of Corel Photo, but I've used Photoshop before, also. Corel seems a little more understandable to me - it's kind of like training wheels on a bike.
