ah, Cameras
The Guy bought me an Olympus Camedia d-540 Zoom for my birthday a little over a year ago. (3.0megapixels, 3xzoom, 10xdigital zoom, quicktime movies without sound) It's a fine little pocket camera, but lately I've been feeling the want for a larger lensed camera with more pixels and power, and the ability to control the apeture or shutter speed, if I want. And so many of the newer cameras also take SD memory chips, which also fit neatly into my PDA for terrific viewing on the larger screen.
I've been narrowing down the field between a Canon model and a Kodak model. The Kodak model seems to be winning out since it has a 10xoptical zoom and uses lithium batteries. It's main bugaboo is that it's a little slow between photos. The Canon model only has a 4xzoom but it's reportedly a little faster.
Garg. First I have to figure out if this is just really something to spend money on to spend it, instead of something I'll genuinely use. *sighs*

I did a ton of research before deciding on which camera to get (and this was the best we could afford at the time), but it sounds like you've already done that. :-)
Sometimes it can be more fun to contemplate and decide than to actually buy, though. *g*
