The Rain, pt 2

Teyla forced herself to watch the tapes of Phoebus/Weir, clumsily separated from life by her own inelegant soldiers.

McKay slouched into the room. They had not spoken in weeks.

Teyla kept her eyes on the laptop screen. Soldiers shredded Elizabeth's body with their semiautomatics. Rodney was silent.

"Overkill, as John would say," she said. She extended her hand to touch the escape button. He flinched.

Rodney had no escape button. She wished for one of her own.

"Forgive Elizabeth? Forgive you? No." A Wraith sounded more human than Rodney.

Laptop bits rained against the wall. Shattered lives.

Still, no escape.
