This is my impression only, but I think GT is a grounded sort of person: he seems to be the type who thinks about where he is, what he is, what he does, etc. At least, he's always struck me as being a very "centered" type of person. So it didn't surprise me that he'd been together with someone (male or female!) for that long!

I've seen him at cons, and he's a really nice guy.

I just get amused when I hear all the fundies going on about how gays shouldn't marry because it's somehow a threat to straight marriage, which I think is ludicrous. It's the people in the relationship that determine how long they're together, not the way they have sex. Well, unless they have different appetites. ;)

I just got home from Necronomicon where this was mentioned at several of the scifi panels. The general consensus was, "Who didn't know that?" *s*

I'm happy that he finally felt comfortable with telling the world.
