Sony, Sony, let's ride the pony...
Sep. 25th, 2005 04:30 pmJust nonsense...unless you're *into* that sort of kink. *ahem*
Anyhow, I've been spending some time on the Sony board, of which I have heard much of over the past few weeks ever since the company bought out MGM and started up some forums for the television shows the erstwhile MGM used to have -- Stargate, Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica.
It's interesting. There's a whole *thread* of people (well, it seems like it's about 4 or 5 people) who have a diametrically opposed view of Sam Carter from my view (which is, of course the *right* view!). It's such an opposite view that I wonder if they or I have been watching AU shows and AU characters, because, I swear, I have never ever thought of Carter as admirable and a role model. Well, perhaps up until the fourth season or so, when her desire to bang her commanding officer took over her characterization, and her driving need to succeed meant pushing her own friends out of the way as she took over and took credit. It really IS mindboggling. I've not gone into the Sam Carter Thread like m_maxine has, flinging the word "vile" and so forth as descriptives of Carter's character...mostly because, wow, a few of these fans also post in the Daniel threads and don't seem to be going on the offensive. So I'll leave them alone. Even if I do think they are so totally and utterly wrong.
It was funny when I posted on a Lam thread, though, and said that I don't compare Lam with Fraiser, cuz I never really liked Fraiser anyway...and some dimwit stated that I had no right not to like Fraiser. Huh?
