And Japan. It was shocking to watch the videos that have now posted up all over the internet. It makes the New Zealand quake, which was horrific enough, look like a small shoulder tap by mother nature, saying, "People, I am the one in charge."

Good on the people of Egypt, Libya, and other places for rising up to take back their countries from despots, dictators and modern day pharoahs.

We do live in interesting times. For those hit by the quakes and tsunamis, it's been too interesting. My heart goes out to the families there with missing family members. And to the towns that have been swept up by the ocean.

One of our student helpers is from Japan. Her family doesn't live near the quake, but all the other Japanese students were coming up the the desk to tell her that they heard from their grandmother finally, or they got word that their parents were alive, etc. It was...I just can't imagine what these kids are going through.

It must be difficult, to say the least. Although, if they have family on the islands further south and not on Honshu--huh. Was there any damage of any kind on the more southern islands? I don't remember any reports coming on about that.

Anyway, yeah. Rough. I hope they're doing okay. Sometimes it's as hard not knowing as being there.
