Water wells in LA closing at increasing rate due to 1950-60s pollution

OMG. I had no idea there were such deep problems (no pun intended) with the underground water supply beneath the San Fernando Valley. This is more than worrisome. Not only that but the implications of that unsustainable resource-groundwater-eventually being used up means that in a not-too-distant future, LA is going to be hell on earth when it comes to water availability.
