Wow, just had this really rude man call up on our phone.

After I said, "Hello?"
He says, "What do you want?"
I said, "You called ME."
He says, "Yeah, what do you want?"
And then I hung up on the asswipe.

The phone rang again less than a minute later. The Guy picked up this time. This time the idiot on the other end asked if Larry (or someone like that) was here. No...  The Guy said it sounded like an older guy. The one who called me could have been younger. I don't know. I don't care.

What is it with people who have absolutely NO PHONE MANNERS?  Do they even THINK of the possibility that they're calling the wrong number? Do they think they're on a TV show, and the person they expect is going to answer, is going to answer? I remember learning phone manners in school, for christ's sake, in first grade! I even remember the little white workbook we got so that we could fill in our home phone number, along with sample dialogue on how to answer the phone, or make a phone call.

What IS it with people these days?

You know what I find *really* bizarre? People who call back numbers they don't know that they received either on their cell phone, or their landline.

????

One time, either my daughter or I misdialed a number, realized it when the answering machine gave us a message from someone we didn't recognize, and so we hung up.

A day or so later, some guy calls OUR phone and asks what the call was about. Huh? What was the point of that?

I've only called a number back when it shows up on my phone bill, and I've been charged long-distance charges, and I want to know what that call was about when no one remembers making the call!

People are so weird.
